DJCSI's CodeShastra, Mumbai's first 24 hour college level hackathon has entered in the 6th edition

With a footfall of almost 400 programmers from all ends of the city, CodeShastra desires to bring out best in you and bring about the best for you.



Our aim is to provide a platform for the participants as they work in synergy to devise ingenious solutions to tackle various real life problems.

Guidelines

All participants are requested to get their respective Identity Cards.

Problem Statements will be released here by 5th March.

The main round for the Codeshastra 6.0 hackathon will take place on 7th-8th March, 2019. Reporting time for participants is 12:00 pm sharp at the venue – Ground floor lobby, Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering.

Each team should comprise of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 members including the team leader.Team members can be from different colleges.

Teams will be shortlisted on the basis of their Devfolio profile.

The hackathon format includes 24 hours of coding, post which the teams may present their solution to the judges. Results of this round will be announced after all presentations are reviewed by the judges.

The participating teams must select any one problem statement to work on and should develop a viable software solution for the same.One can freely use the available servers/ their own servers for developing and/or presenting their product.

All coders are requested to get their laptops, chargers, one spike guard / extension cord. The solution must be developed during the event only.

Mentors from Oracle, TCS and Quantiphi will be present to guide students and help them with any doubts that may arise.

Selected teams will receive a message from DJ-CSI by 3rd of March and must respond to it within 2 days. Only those teams are requested to be present at the venue on the 7th of March at 12pm.

Lunch, Dinner, Breakfast and timely refreshments will be provided.

A hackathon is an event where in participating teams are provided different real-life problems and they have to design a technological solution to anyone of the problems given in the given time limit.
The final product developed should be usable in real life.

Problem Statements are powered by: TCS, Quantiphi, Foxmula & DJCSI.
Cash prizes & problem statements will be declared soon. Along with Cash prizes, exclusive gifts and goodies on registering, you will be updated with all the details.

All team members need to register here. Deadline for the same is 28th February 20207.

CodeShastra aims to give beginners a headstart by providing them mentors who are from the industry to guide them. So that they can learn while brainstorming ideas. We've called for mentors 👨🏻‍🏫 from Industry giants like Oracle, TCS, Quantiphi to help you and also judge your projects.
So, first timers don't have to worry as their lack of experience won't be an issue in their road to victory. Plus, there is always a first time for everything! We promise you a fun and fruitful experience.

Evaluation criteria will include novelty of the idea, complexity, clarity, feasibility, practicability, sustainability, scale of impact, user experience and potential for future work progression.

Food, water and refreshments, prizes, exclusive merchandise for all participants along with Internship opportunities, A/C rooms and sleeping arrangements.

Participants are required to get their own laptops with all the necessary softwares installed, chargers, student ID and can get a change of clothes, pillow and blankets as per their convenience.

Weapons, drugs, alcohol of any kind is not permitted.

Participants can use any technologies as long as its open source. Intellectual Property (IP) of the idea belongs to the team members and their college/institution.

You can come prepared with half baked codes, write your own APIs and modules.
